Late spring on the upper South Yuba with heavy spring runoff. The spray in the air had dampened everything, bringing out these incredible colors and details. I shot this with my medium format film camera, a Mamiya RB67, on a tripod. This allowed me to use a very small lens opening to capture such great detail, while at the same time to use a slow shutter speed to capture the blurred motion of the rushing water. This image is part of the Yuba Layers series.
