This image was taken on a stormy, cloudy, gray day with no sun. At the end of my third trip to the river to see if I could catch some sun light on the river, as the sun was setting it peaked in below the cloud cover and back lit the standing waves of water. The name of this image comes from a famous woodblock print Great Wave off Kanagawa by the Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai, published in 1832.
