I wanted the photograph to have the feel of being in the water, so I carefully waded into the Yuba river and found a view I liked, then I knelt down so my chest was half way in the water. I used a 35mm wide angle lens, holding the camera in the vertical/portrait orientation, and took eight shots that I later joined together on my computer. The result is this stunning panoramic looking up river towards Emerald Pool II.
