Canvas Gallery Wrap Prints

McKay’s Canvas Gallery Wrap photographs offer an attractive and simple method of display, allowing the focus to be on the image without any glare or reflection from glass.

A Gallery Wrap presentation means that extra image wraps around the sides of the wooden stretcher frame, adding dimension to the photograph.

Natural Wrap: As my sample image shows, the wrap uses the outer part of the image to create the wrap. So an 8x10 image with a one inch wrap would make a viewable image of 6x8. If you wanted the end result to still be 8x10, then the image would need to be at least 10x12.

Natural Wrap Plus: Elements of the image are duplicated in a manner that is natural looking. The benefit is that the viewed image is not cropped.

Any Color Wrap: Any color you want. Let us know if you have a preference based on wall or furniture colors. Black is common or a color that is prominent in the image. The benefit is that the viewed image is not cropped.

Am I going to loose part of my image due to wrapping?

Not necessarily. We provide three different methods to make a gallery wrap. Natural Wrap does cause some loss of image due to wrapping. Natural Wrap Plus & Any Color Wrap will not cause any loss of your image. Both of these will allow the majority of the image to be printed on the front of the canvas and the added image or color will wrap around the sides.

McKay uses Epson printers and archival inks and canvas.

The pigment-based inks and the fine art canvas material are UV protected therefore colors stay true for 75 to 150 years.
The canvas prints are as rich and detailed as a traditional photograph. After the image is printed, the canvas is stretched by hand and wrapped around a wooden stretcher frame with a hanging-wire mounting attached. There is no matting or framing needed.

Stretcher Frames Sizes

Stretcher Frame Sizes from 8x12 to 14x22 for canvas prints will be stretched on 3/4” or 7/8” frames. For print sizes 16x20 and larger will be stretched on 1 3/8” or 2” frames depending on size of the image and to get more “stand off” from a wall.

Up-sizing of smaller size prints to a larger depth frame for more “stand off” from a wall is also available, just let us know at the time of your order.
